Each participant will receive a dyno graph printout with their cars rear wheel horsepower and torque.

*Lunch is provided by MOs at no extra charge.

It includes Smoked pork "Mo-B-Q", hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, soft drinks, ect.ect. This alone is worth the price of admission as Marty spares no expense.

Spectators eat for free as well. 

*Even if people are not particpating on the dyno,  All members are welcome to come and enjoy the day by watching the "dyno show" and also the "Cruise In" in parking lot.   

*We can take a max of 15-16 cars. Everyone needs to sign up with me ASAP because these limited spaces can fill up fast.  It will be "first come first serve" the day of the event but if someone requests a certain time "in advance" I can take note and try to make it happen.

New Events:

• Hardy Family Ford has asked for us to participate in a show in May/June
• We will not be having a Mazzy's show this year. This will be replaced by a possible show at Streetside Classics. Patrick Kelley will be the show chairman for this event.
• We have also been approached by Sandy Springs Ford to have another show utilizing their covered parking. John Knox is the show chairman for that event
• There has been a discussion about another Dyno Day at Moe's Speed Shop sometime in March. Randy Pethel is the contact for this event.
• Lee Mathias also wants to put together a cruise to Jackie Jones Ford with a tour of his private museum in Hayesville, NC. This is tentatively set for May

Rosters:

• Historic and Current rosters will be kept by the GRMC.
• None of the information will be made public
• Going forward, these rosters will be augmented by members joining through the website

Dues

• Dues are due by the end of March
• $28 for individuals
• $150 for businesses

Advertising

• Patrick Kelley is working on putting together an advertising package for businesses
• Business card-sized ad in the newsletter
• Ad on the sponsor page of the website
• Banner of sponsors at events
• Possible meeting place for local businesses (start/end cruises at the business location)
• Business advertising also includes club membership

Window Decals

• 3" Round w/GRMC logo
• $1.53/per with a 250 minimum order

This is on Barrett Pkwy just south of Dallas Hwy where the Wendy's cruise in is held. We will be having the meal catered so we will need to know who is coming within the next two weeks so that the cater will prepare enough food. As in the past we ask everyone to bring a unwrapped toy for the toys for tots and we will also do our normal white elephant gift exchange. If you chose to bring a nicer gift, please limit cost to $20.

MEETING MINUTES

November 19, 2011

29 members and two children were present.

Meeting called to order by the president, Terry Trusdell.  Minutes by Gail Kelley

Brad, from our host Streetside Classics, introduced himself and his passion for Mustangs.  They cosign cars for 10% commission, pay $150 for referrals when a car is sold and offer exposure to over 40 websites.  They sell collector cars only and are open six days a week

Visitors were Dale from Canton, Nate from Dallas, Bill from Temple and Mr Welch from Sandy Springs (somebody needs to check these names)_We had a new member from Germany who lives in Sweden.

Treasurers Report:  We have over $5600 in the bank, motion made and passed to pay outstanding bills not to exceed $1000

Christmas Party:  December 18, Cheatam Hills community Center, 3702 Barrett Pkwy., Marietta, Ga.  BYOB, limited drinking.  2 PM Hor D’Oeuvres,  4 PM dinner, we anticipate 30 – 40 guests.  Proposed menues were passed out to be reviewed by club members.   Gift exchange, $20 limit, white elephants encouraged, gifts received last year not eligible for regifting.  Please bring an unwrapped toy for Toys For Tots. Members should RSVP within the next two weeks.  Invitation will be e-mailed to members. 

Founders Day Parade, December 3, 8:30 – 10AM in John’s Creek.  We have the paperwork completed for up to 9 cars.  Members who want to participate should contact Kirk Franz, 678 512 3261. He set this up for the club.

Website is up for renewal, 12/31/2011.  Motion was made and passed for Liz Reeder to explore new provider.  We need to be able to add advertisers from outside the club and administer it ourselves.

Election of new officers:  John Knox, President.  Terry Trusdell, VP.  Treasurer, Gail Kelley.   Liz Reeder, Sectary and Web Master.  Randy Moore, Event Coordinator.  Joe Krumpleman, MCA Liaison.  Larry Prescott, Newsletter editor.

Motion was made and passed for the club to pay the MCA dues for officers who are current on their club dues.

We need to recreate a set of by laws for the club.  We were the second club chartered by MCA and the old by laws have been lost in the mists of the ages.  John Knox and Terry Trusdell will form a committee and begin working on this.

This is an excellent opportunity for you and your fellow members to show off your Mustangs in front of thousands of parade spectators.  (* NOTE:  This is not a solicitation for your club to provide cars for dignitaries to ride in……we simply would like to provide you with an opportunity show off your cars)

For the parade, we can make sure that you and your fellow car club members are grouped to drive together in the parade.  Your group will also be recognized at our Parade’s VIP stand.

After the Parade, the Recreation & Parks Division will host a “Santa Jam” event at Johns Creek High School that runs from 10:30am – 1pm.  We would love to have your club participate in this event as well.  This is another excellent opportunity to park and show off your car(s) in the sectioned off area of the high school parking lot as part of our “Santa Jam” festivities.

 There is no fee to participate in the parade or the Santa Jam event……so we hope that your Car Club is interested in joining us on Saturday, December 3!
