May Meeting Minutes

The May meeting was called to order by President John Knox at   3:10 with approx 30 members attending.

Introduced 2 new members.

Treasurer's Report:
Hardy's Show:
79 registered cars x $20 = $1580
Donation to the Dallas PTA = -$40
11 new members/dues x $28 = $308
After show total = $1869
Towels & dash plaques = $543.23 (Hardy will pay half to all)

Old Business:

Hardy Show:
Awesome show
Managers' meeting the Monday after the show
   Hardy owners were blown away
   Biggest turnout ever, including Chevy shows
   Definitely want the show next year
   Ford regional rep was excited about show
   Possibly do a Ford vs. Chevy event
Maybe make this a national show in the future
   2 year application process
   Accommodations?
   Manpower
       Grow membership
Huge success
PTA made $600 on the show
   Raising money to buy walkie-talkies for staff
Charles Hardy attended show
Ask vendors to donate to show if setting up
   Need more vendors

Sandy Springs Show:
Need show chair
65 car limit

Anti-Bullying
Save Our Daughters
National initiative w/MTV to stop bullying/teen suicide
Contribution of pre-owned/donated car to show up for photo op
Club decided to decline the opportunity

New Shirt Order
New shirts will be ordered this month

Possible New Equipment
Sound equipment for shows
Trailer mounted speakers
New microphone, possibly wireless
Jeff Causey will look into equipment

Trailer:
Needs to be cleaned out/organized
Possibly need new tires x 4

Events:
Saturday: Downtown Dallas (get there early: 3:oopm)
June 2nd: Streetside Classics (need help parking)
   Be there at 8 for volunteers
   Expecting 200 cars, all makes/models
June 9th: Cherokee Regional @ Gordon High in Calhoun (Bring shade, sunscreen & water)
2nd Saturday: Wendy's @ 120/Barrett
3rd Saturday: Stars & Strikes @ 92 & 120
1st Sunday: Caffeine & Octane Alpharetta 8am-11am (6:30 parking time)
2nd Sunday: Lost Mountain Park Hwy 120 in Lost Mountain 8am-11am
July 1st: Team Ford Marietta Hwy 41 Cruise-in
July 4th: Cartersville

June Meeting:
Meeting will be June 16th due to Fathers' Day.
Members will then caravan to Stars & Strikes cruise-in
Will meet at Hardy Ford @ 3pm

Tara Show:
Had 10 members attend
9 received awards

Hardy Ford:
Possibly ask them if we can store the trailer there.

New Fall Event:
Need a sponsor-neutral location
September/October time frame
High school or college
  use band or PTA to help out
