Tara Mustang Club's Gene Evan's Show

The Tara Mustang Club is hosting a show on May 19th, 2012. It will be held across from the Gene Evan's dealership off Hwy 138. Please come out and support our sister club!

Club Dyno Day

*Saturday March 31 starting at 9am, ending whenever we are done. "Rain or Shine"

*Address: 204 White Park Drive

                   Dallas Ga, 30132

*Price: $55 for 3 pulls on the dyno.

Each participant will receive a dyno graph printout with their cars rear wheel horsepower and torque.

*Lunch is provided by MOs at no extra charge.

It includes Smoked pork "Mo-B-Q", hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, soft drinks, ect.ect. This alone is worth the price of admission as Marty spares no expense.

Spectators eat for free as well. 

*Even if people are not particpating on the dyno,  All members are welcome to come and enjoy the day by watching the "dyno show" and also the "Cruise In" in parking lot.   

*We can take a max of 15-16 cars. Everyone needs to sign up with me ASAP because these limited spaces can fill up fast.  It will be "first come first serve" the day of the event but if someone requests a certain time "in advance" I can take note and try to make it happen.

Sponsors on the Website

Just to let everyone know, sponsorship/advertising via our site is going to be handled a little bit differently. We will no longer be using a sponsorship page, but don't panic! This is acutally a good thing. Your ads will no longer be buried on their own separate page rarely ever seeing the light of day. Instead, all sponsors will be given a link to their sites on the right-hand side of our page. This list will be visible on every page of the site! What this means for you is that your business gets greater visiblity right away, and the links are shown all the time no matter what part of the site visitors are on. For now, the links are categorized whether they're a dealership, resto/mod shop, or other business/site. More categories can be added if the need arises. If there are any questions, please let me know!

January 2012 Meeting Minutes

The January 2012 Meeting began at 3:00pm.

New Officers for 2012:

• President: John Knox
• Vice President: Terry Trusdell
• Treasurer: Gail Kelley
• Secretary/Web/Social Media: Liz Reeder
• MCA Liason: Joe Krumpelman
• Newsletter Editor: Larry Prescott

Introduction of Members:

• Approximately 30 members in attendance

Christmas Party Feedback:

• Feedback for the party was favorable and members are willing to use the same location for the 2012 party.

Bills Paid:

• Website and MCA dues for Liz Reeder: $374
• General Liability Insurance: $300
• Trailer Insurance: $360

Old Business:

• All old business was closed out before the first of the year

New Events:

• Hardy Family Ford has asked for us to participate in a show in May/June
• We will not be having a Mazzy's show this year. This will be replaced by a possible show at Streetside Classics. Patrick Kelley will be the show chairman for this event.
• We have also been approached by Sandy Springs Ford to have another show utilizing their covered parking. John Knox is the show chairman for that event
• There has been a discussion about another Dyno Day at Moe's Speed Shop sometime in March. Randy Pethel is the contact for this event.
• Lee Mathias also wants to put together a cruise to Jackie Jones Ford with a tour of his private museum in Hayesville, NC. This is tentatively set for May

Rosters:

• Historic and Current rosters will be kept by the GRMC.
• None of the information will be made public
• Going forward, these rosters will be augmented by members joining through the website

Dues

• Dues are due by the end of March
• $28 for individuals
• $150 for businesses

Advertising

• Patrick Kelley is working on putting together an advertising package for businesses
• Business card-sized ad in the newsletter
• Ad on the sponsor page of the website
• Banner of sponsors at events
• Possible meeting place for local businesses (start/end cruises at the business location)
• Business advertising also includes club membership

Window Decals

• 3" Round w/GRMC logo
• $1.53/per with a 250 minimum order

Newsletter Contribution

• Need articles/fodder for newsletter
• Question raised about continuing the publication

Club Participation

• Need to participate more in other area club events

Fall Show

• We will not be doing a show at Pioneer Ford this year
• The club has mentioned needing to find a sponsor-neutral location with parking for 100 entrants

Dega Track Day

• Space for 10 cars @ 150
• Early February
• Weekday event

By February 1, anyone who has not logged into the website in the last six months will have their logins deleted. Unfortunately, this includes almost everyone. Logins are now needed to comment to any news post as well as to view the merchandise page. If you are a member, and you have paid your dues but do not have a login or you don't know your login/it doesn't work, please email me.
